From June 16, 2022, the private railway company Regiojet will offer up to four daily train connections between Brno and Vienna International Airport. With two pairs of courses, however, there is a special feature: you are cooperating with the competitor ÖBB.

Originally, Regiojet had planned to run three direct trains a day to Austria's largest airport. When the train path was allocated, however, it seems that not everything that was needed was received. As a result, for the time being there will only be two non-stop trains per day from Prague via Brno to Vienna-Schwechat Airport.

The special feature of two other connections is that one cooperates with the competitor Austrian Federal Railways. On these pairs of routes, you have to change trains at Vienna Central Station to Railjet trains. Regiojet sells through tickets, so no additional ticket is necessary.

In addition to the new train offer, not that as originally announced on June 12, 2022, but will start on June 16, 2022, Regiojet will offer up to six daily long-distance buses from Brno to Vienna International Airport. The specified travel time is around ten minutes shorter by rail than by bus.
