Effective May 20, 2022, Israel is implementing the next level of relaxation on entry. After arrival, you no longer have to undergo a mandatory PCR test. Since Tuesday it has been possible to carry out a rapid antigen test before departure.

Israel had sealed itself off for a long time due to the corona pandemic. Entry requirements have been gradually relaxed for several months. What is new is that the previously mandatory PCR tests after entry will no longer be used.

In a transitional phase between May 10, 2022 and May 19, 2022, passengers will also be allowed to present a negative rapid antigen test result, which may be no more than 24 hours old, as an alternative. PCR results are also accepted.
