Karin Tausz, the chairwoman of the supervisory board of Austro Control, is extremely outraged by statements made by the vida union. These are "sexist" and "unacceptable" to air traffic control manager Valerie Hackl.

According to the head of the supervisory board, a text that refers to a newspaper article with Hackl refers, common among the employees of the state air traffic control, to contain the following sentence: "From a woman in a management position, a former short-term minister and an expectant mother we would have expected more care in dealing with the language."

Tausz sees these remarks as crossing the line of good taste. “Referring to the personal life situation of a managing director is unfair. Appealing to the parenting role is not only a bad communication style, it borders on bullying ”, said the chairwoman of the supervisory board, who at the same time calls on the union to return to the factual level in order to solve the common challenges.
