Return to Cologne/Bonn Airport: From the summer, the Greek Aegean will again be flying to the Greek capital from Cologne/Bonn.

From June 20, 2022 - and thus punctually before the start of the summer holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia - the airline will fly to Athens twice a week. Departure from Cologne/Bonn is always on Mondays and Thursdays at 13.10 p.m., landing takes place after a three-hour flight at 17.10 p.m. local time. The carrier last flew to the Rhenish airport in 2014. An Airbus A320 is used.

“Aegean's Athens flights are an enrichment to what our airport has to offer. Not only because we can add another airline and another European capital to our portfolio, but also because of the attractive connection options to popular vacation spots,” explains Thilo Schmid, CEO of Cologne/Bonn Airport.

From Athens, travelers have numerous options for onward flights to popular holiday islands. Rhodes, Kos and Mykonos are just as easy to reach for transfer passengers as Santorini, Crete (Chania), Paros and many more. International connections, for example to Beirut, Cairo, Yerevan or Tel Aviv, can also be easily reached by changing trains in Athens.
