Aer Lingus continues to suffer from the consequences of the Corona crisis.

That is why the Irish government is now stepping under the wings of the airline and approving Aer Lingus state aid amounting to around 150 million euros. The liquidity of the ailing carrier should be strengthened for at least three years, according to a spokesman for the authority. The corresponding agreement was therefore already at the end of last year. “Aer Lingus appreciates the generous government support. We now want to fly into the future with her in our luggage. We are convinced that we will play a key role in Ireland's economic recovery, ”said an airline spokeswoman for the aviation portal Swiss Aviation. At the moment, the airline would only operate to a limited extent - only 26 of the 54 aircraft are in the air.
