Aer Lingus had to have “unruly PAX” deported in Santiago de Compostela

Because a passenger behaved disruptively on an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Las Palmas on August 26, 2023, the EU-DVK had to make an unscheduled stopover in Santiago de Compostela in order to have the unruly PAX disembarked by the executive.

The Airbus A320 was on its way to Gran Canaria with flight number EI782. However, an "unruly PAX" caused so much disruption that the captain decided that he had to be taken off board. Air traffic control assigned Santiago airport. The man is said to have let himself be taken away by the police without any notable misconduct. However, the unscheduled stopover caused a delay.
