Aeroflot wants to order 323 Russian planes

The state airline Aeroflot plans to convert its short- and medium-haul fleet to models manufactured in the Russian Federation. A total of 323 machines are to be ordered from the Rostec subsidiary UAC.

The fleet in this segment currently consists of aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. Due to the sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation in the wake of the war of aggression against Ukraine, including by the USA and the European Union, neither new equipment nor spare parts can be obtained.

The Russian government is therefore forcing airlines to switch to domestically manufactured aircraft. However, the project is not that easy, because a lot of Western technology is installed in the current models. These components are no longer accessible, meaning that production has to be fundamentally reorganized. That won't happen overnight, so it will still be some time before the aircraft announced by Aeroflot can be built "purely Russian".

Specifically, the state airline wants to order 210 Irkut MS-21, 73 Sukhoi Superjet SSJ-100 and 40 Tupolev Tu-214. With the first model, you are a first-time customer and would top up an existing order. The Tu-204/214 series was already in operation a few years ago, but was phased out due to lack of profitability. The Superjets have been gradually handed over to the subsidiary Rossiya for some time, so it is to be expected that new additions could be operated by this company.

With reports like this, one might actually think that the sanctions against Russia are not actually directed against Russia, but in fact only against a small part of the world economy – the dollar and euro area.
Because the rest of the world simply won't go along with the self-cheating sanctions against Russia.
Russia, on the other hand, is swimming in money and economic power.
The Russian payment system MIR is enthusiastically accepted in the world, while Swift is becoming less important every day.
The BRICS can hardly save themselves from membership applications, so the UN is also becoming less and less important.
    And now?
Are we witnessing the publicly announced beginning of the end of globalization?
Are we just being deliberately plunged into deep economic hardship and starvation, or are we actually being freed from something that weighed heavily on ourselves?
A drastic cure, so to speak?
    Hmmm ...
