“This exciting development is an overwhelming confirmation for Airlink. We are delighted, honored and privileged that Emirates has selected Airlink as its partner for Southern Africa. Emirates serves all of our source markets and together we are able to provide vital access to Airlink's extensive network of destinations in Southern Africa and provide the much-needed connectivity that connects Africa to the world and the world to Africa. The tourism and aviation sectors are hardest hit by the pandemic and the associated closings and travel bans. We expect vaccination around the world to meet the pent-up demand for travel and encourage more customers to visit the special destinations Airlink flies to, ”said Rodger Foster, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airlink.
