The holiday airline Tuifly caused a stir again with considerable delays. For example, on June 3, 2022, a planned flight from Fuerteventura to Munich had to be canceled due to an AOG. It was supposed to start on June 4, 2022, but it didn't stop there.

According to a report by the Fuerteventura newspaper, around 120 passengers were affected on this flight alone. They had to check out of the hotel on Saturday and were then on their own, because there was no information even from the Tui representative who was in the hotel. Nobody knew whether there would be a flight on Saturday or not.

The passengers were then taken to the airport by bus, where they were told in English that there would be no flight to Munich on Saturday either. Substitute transport with other airlines and/or catering services did not exist on the spot.

"On the plane originally scheduled for Friday 03.06/32163 planned flight to Munich, flight number XXNUMX, a technical problem was discovered after landing on Fuerteventura. The technical team flown in was able to get the plane back on the road, but for safety reasons the plane had to return to Germany empty, i.e. without passengers, in order to be subjected to a thorough inspection," Tui said in a statement.

Smartlynx should have flown on behalf of Tui on Saturday. On a flight from Nuremberg to Kos, this machine was so delayed at the German airport that the jet had to remain on the ground in Nuremberg after the return flight. The background is that the crew's duty hours would otherwise have been exceeded.

The travelers in Fuerteventura, who have meanwhile received a 15-euro meal voucher, then went to various hotels around the airport. It was only on Sunday that I went home, which means that I was two days late again. Only last week is Tuifly noticed with considerable delays.
