The German shipping company Aida Cruises christened its youngest member of the fleet, Aidacosma, in the port of Hamburg on Saturday. The motto of the ceremony was “the world is becoming more colourful”.

The formal naming of the ship was carried out by eleven-time track cycling world champion Kristina Vogel. The athlete and captain Vincent Cofalka lit up a huge, colorful globe on the ocean deck at around 21:55 p.m. At the same time, the traditional champagne bottle hit the hull of the cruise ship.

The Aidacosma already departs for her first two-week cruise at around 23:30 p.m. Among other things, the ship will head for the port of Palma de Mallorca. The newcomer will be stationed there until October 29, 2022 and will offer trips from Palma and Barcelona. From November 2022, this cruise ship will set sail from Dubai.
