The Latvian airline Air Baltic took over another Airbus A220-300 on Sunday. The fleet has grown to 23 units. Two more jets of this type are to be added by the end of the year.
The youngest member of the fleet is registered YL-AAW and arrived in Riga on Sunday. In the course of the corona crisis, Air Baltic sealed the premature end for the Boeing 737 and DHC Dash 8-400 sub-fleets. Since then you have been a pure A220-300 operator.
“The current crisis has allowed us to focus on the Airbus A220-300. This is the only type of aircraft that Air Baltic will fly in the future. In our choice of aircraft, the focus is on sustainability, which is an advantage for getting out of the crisis, ”says Managing Director Martin Gauss.
