The corona crisis does not let go: In October 2020, the Latvian airline Air Baltic only carried around 64.600 passengers. And thus 86 percent less than in the same month last year. While there were 2019 flights in October 5.700, the company only operated 1.500 flights this month.
“The dramatic decline in passenger numbers as a result of the pandemic can be seen across the aviation industry. The inconsistent approach in Europe and the changing travel restrictions have further reduced the demand for travel in October. Nevertheless, we will do everything possible to continue to connect our customers with the world, ”said airline boss Martin Gauss.
