As announced, the Latvian airline has opened a new base in Tampere, Finland. Air Baltic will connect the city with seven direct flights, in addition to continuing operations to Riga in Latvia.
“The opening of the new base offers new travel opportunities for our current and future passengers. We hope that passenger demand will gradually grow so that over time we can introduce additional new destinations to various business hubs and leisure destinations." The carrier will offer direct flights from Tampere to Oslo, Copenhagen, Frankfurt and Munich and will also fly to sunny holiday destinations such as Malaga and Rhodes. From June 2022, direct flights to Amsterdam would also be added, according to the airline in a broadcast.
