Air Baltic is now flying directly from Riga to Gran Canaria for the first time - after Tenerife, this is the airline's second route to the Canary Islands. The route is served twice weekly with an A220-300.

“The addition of Gran Canaria to our route network expands Air Baltic's offering for the coming winter season. Gran Canaria is a place where people like to spend the cold months. We are delighted to be connecting Latvia to another sunny, exciting and in-demand destination, in addition to Tenerife, which launched last year and has shown excellent demand results,” said airline CEO Martin Gauss.

Meanwhile, the Latvian airline also celebrated its premiere a few days ago and operated its first direct flight from Riga to Marrakech. This route will go down in the history books of the carrier as the very first scheduled connection to Africa. The route is also served twice weekly by the A220-300.
