The Latvian airline Air Baltic will again offer non-stop flights between Riga and Salzburg in the 2022/23 winter timetable. These are primarily aimed at winter sports enthusiasts who want to spend their holidays in the catchment area of Austria's second largest airport.

Air Baltic has been offering flights between the two cities during the winter months for many years. Due to the corona pandemic, these have in some cases come to a complete standstill in the last two winter periods. Another destination that is primarily aimed at winter sports enthusiasts is Verona. Air Baltic will also be offering this from Riga in winter 2022/23.

It is currently planned that the Salzburg flights will be operated from December 17, 2022. Medium-haul jets of the Airbus A220-300 type are to be used as the machine type. The execution should take place on the traffic day Saturday. For the time being, the seasonal route is limited to March 18, 2023. Depending on demand and snow conditions, there is an option to extend.
