With 104,3 million euros, the Latvian Air Baltic was able to achieve the highest quarterly turnover in the company's history in the first quarter of the current year. At the same time, the number of passengers carried was 77 percent higher than in the first quarter of 2022.
“Current indications show that the first quarter of 2023 exceeded our expectations and Air Baltic is on its way back to sustained profitability. For us, the goal is clear: 700 million euros in sales in 2023 and a significant increase in the number of passengers carried to 4,4 million. In this way, the company will return to the pre-crisis state and achieve a positive result. Looking ahead to 2023, we are continuing on the successful course towards an IPO in 2024. Our core goals remain unchanged - to ensure the best connectivity between the Baltic States - one of the most important European economic centers of the future - and the world, to improve the passenger experience and to make a significant contribution to the economy," says company boss Martin Gauss.
