Since June 12, the airline has been connecting the capital of Latvia with the Greek island once a week. The new route is being carried out in collaboration with the tour operator Mouzenidis Travel.

Thanks to the ongoing vaccination campaigns, more and more new connections can be opened from Riga punctually before the summer months, says Air Baltic boss Martin Gauss. The airline is also feeling the upswing on the plane: Last month, Air Baltic said it welcomed 37 percent more guests on board. In general: "As vaccination progresses, so does our customers' desire to travel." Destinations in the Mediterranean and European cities in particular would become more popular.
