The charter airline Air Cairo parted ways with a total of four Airbus A320s, which were manufactured in 2006 and 2007. The Egyptian carrier will accept bids until March 8, 2021.
The machines in question are: SU-BPU, SU-BPV, SU-BPW and SU-BPX. According to CH-Aviation.com, these are owned by the holiday airline. The four named Airbus A320s are currently in use both domestically and internationally.
Air Cairo's fleet consists of a total of seven Airbus A320s. Those three that are not owned are leased. The company plans to fleet a younger A320 and an A320neo in the course of 2021. Four Embraer 170s, two Boeing 737-800s and two more Airbus A320s are also to be added as part of a leasing contract. It is still unclear where these machines are supposed to come from. In any case, two Airbus A320s are to be obtained from the 60 percent shareholder EgyptAir.
