The airline Air Cairo is cutting the routes between Germany and Egypt due to the current weak demand. The break is expected to last until March 31, 2021. According to the carrier, the Zurich route will also be temporarily suspended.
This meant that the company was traveling between Egypt and Germany or Switzerland for less than four weeks. The destination Hurghada was only reactivated from Frakfurt am Main, Düsseldorf and Zurich on December 19, 2020. Air Cairo justifies the new flight break with the tough entry and quarantine regulations due to the corona pandemic, which have led to a de facto non-existent demand.
