In the course of a capital increase, Air France-KLM was able to obtain fresh money. The lion's share of the sum of around 1,04 billion euros was brought in by the French state. China Eastern Airlines also took part. The government of the Netherlands did not hang, which is why their stake is now watered down.

France will hold around 28,6 percent of Air France-KLM in the future. The aforementioned buzzer was generated through the issue of new shares. In the course of the new state aid, the French government subscribed to numerous shares. According to the group, the maximum amount sought could be obtained through the measure.

Last year, the Netherlands and France took Air France-KLM under their wings with around ten billion euros. France now wants to subscribe to so-called subordinated bonds with unlimited maturities. A further three billion euros are to be granted through this. The EU Commission approved, subject to conditions - for example, the assignment of slots in Orly - a maximum additional aid amounting to four billion euros.
