The French regional airline Hop has received the prospect of ordering 35 to 50 Embraer 190-E2s from its parent company Air France. However, management attaches certain conditions to this potential folder, which must be negotiated with the staff representatives.

First and foremost, it is about turning the wage screw. According to a report by “Les Echos”, they want to pay lower salaries for new hires and increase the productivity of the existing workforce. Official negotiations with the employee representatives are to begin in the next few days. Air France wants to make a final decision on the possible E2022 order by summer 2 at the latest.

In the course of the corona pandemic, the hop fleet was greatly reduced. At the moment the Machine type Bombardier CRJ-1000 being phased out. A compromise has been found with the unions that the Hop fleet will not be smaller than 29 commercial aircraft. The parent company is renewing the short-haul fleet with the machine type Airbus A220. The fleet of the low-cost airline Transavia is also due to be renewed. You change together with KLM from the Boeing 737-800 to the A320neo range.
