Nowadays, airlines attach particular importance to compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. The French carrier has now also been rewarded for this.

At the award ceremony at the end of May, Air France received the so-called Diamond Award, the highest award in its category. According to the jury, the company has always put its customers and employees at the center of its precautions when it comes to health and safety issues.

“Air France has put in place a solid strategy to fight the COVID-19 virus on its own territory. Health protection measures such as improved ventilation in enclosed spaces and constantly adapted on-board service ensure that passengers feel comfortable throughout their journey with an airline without compromising safety. Air France's measures at hospital level make this airline a safety leader in the world of the pandemic, ”said Shashank Nigam, CEO of operator SimpliFlying.
