At the Indian aviation trade fair “Wings India”, Lufthansa Technik was able to land an order for the overhaul of at least three CFM56-7B engines from Air India Express’s B737-800 fleet.

The contract that has now been signed marks the start of the cooperation between the international MRO provider (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) and the Air India subsidiary. In addition to the engine overhaul, Lufthansa Technik is responsible for ad hoc repairs, component replacement and aircraft on ground (AOG) services for part of the Indian airline's Boeing 737 fleet.
