A serious plane crash in India resulted in the death of 18 people. In heavy rain, the Air India Express flight IX1344 with 191 people on board shot over the runway and fell around ten meters, like aero.de reported. The Boeing 737-800 VT-AXH was said to have split into two parts.

At least 123 people were injured, according to local authorities. At least 15 of them difficult. The plane flew “stranded” Indian citizens back to the country. It is currently monsoon season in India. That's why rain showers are practically the order of the day. This has already led to a number of incidents in the recent past.
