The airline Air Malta has taken a second aircraft under wet lease. The Boeing 737-800 carries the registration LY-DUE and is operated by Getjet Airlines. The colors are still very reminiscent of the former operator.

It is no coincidence that the tail fin is strongly reminiscent of a tiger. Previously operated by Tigerair Australia, LY-DUE has only recently joined the Getjet fleet. So far, this machine has not been repainted. According to Mavio News, this Boeing 737-800 was first deployed on July 5, 2022 on behalf of Air Malta on route pair KM586/587 (Luqa-Madrid-Luqa).

This is the second ACMI aircraft that the Maltese state carrier has taken on a wet lease for the summer of 2022. Another unit, operated by Getjet Malta, is already in place in the air for Air Malta for a few days.
