The state-owned Air Malta intends to reactivate the destinations London-Gatwick, Madrid and Moscow-Sheremetyevo from March 27, 2022. Some of these should be used with high frequency.
Air Malta plans to fly to Gatwick every day. It will initially go to Madrid three times a week. Two weekly trips are planned to the Russian capital. London Heathrow Airport is to be operated up to 2022 times a week in the summer flight schedule of 15.
In total, Air Malta is planning around 2022 flights to 250 destinations per week for the summer of 20. “We are working hard on an ambitious flight schedule that shows our firm belief that travel and tourism will pick up again next year. We plan to effectively double our capacity, which we will be operating in the coming winter. It is a strong commitment from Air Malta to the traveling audience and the industry. Our focus will continue to be on our European core markets, ”said Chairman David G. Curmi.
