The Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova has finally revoked the AOC and operating license of the insolvent airline Air Moldova.

Flight operations have been suspended for a long time. The carrier announced a comeback for the 2024 winter flight schedule. This could not be implemented due, among other things, to a lack of aircraft. The Civil Aviation Authority had initially suspended the AOC and operating license until October 31, 2023.

There had previously been serious allegations made by the authorities against the carrier and its management for a long time. The requirements for reactivating the certificates could not be met within the grace period set, so the AOC and operating license have now been finally canceled. The company emphasized in a statement that it is still striving for an aviation comeback.
