Air Montenegro has AOC and OL in its pocket

Advertising

The state-owned airline startup Air Montenegro has received AOC and an operating license from the civil aviation authority. This clears the way for the first flight. At least two Embraer 195s, which previously flew for Montenegro Airlines, are to be used.

The 4O-AOA for Air Montenegro is currently being prepared in Bratislava, Slovakia. The regional jet receives extensive maintenance and a new color scheme. The 40-AOB is being prepared in Podgorica, with the painting also being carried out in the Slovak capital at a later date.

The fleet is to be expanded to include another Embraer 195 at launch. Negotiations are in progress with the lessor in connection with the 4O-AOC. However, he is currently insisting on the repayment of the debts that Montenegro Airlines has left. Air Montenegro announced that the first flights will be from Podgorica and Tivat to Belgrade. An exact date has not yet been set, but the aim is "end of May or beginning of June 2021".
