The airline Air Serbia is ending the last remaining Boeing 737-300s, according to local media reports. These were last operated under the Aviolet charter brand. The phasing out was actually planned towards the end of the year.

“The departure of the B737 aircraft from the national carrier was originally planned for the end of this year. A small number of available cycles remained on both operational aircraft and the decline in traffic accelerated the decision to withdraw them, ”said an Air Serbia spokesman.

The machines with the registrations YU-AND, YU-ANI and YU-ANK are affected. These were delivered to its predecessor JAT in the 1980s and are owned by Air Serbia. In the future, the company wants to focus on the operation of machines from the manufacturers Airbus and ATR.

Due to the shutdown of the last aircraft that were operated under the Aviolet brand, the continuation of this brand is also up for debate. It is a division of Air Serbia and not an independent airline.
