Air Serbia recently put its second Airbus A330-200 into scheduled service. Now company boss Jiri Marek announces that they are looking for a third long-haul aircraft of this type.

The manager explained to the “Routes” portal that care was taken to ensure that the same type of engine was installed as in the two existing A330s. He has not yet been able to name a date for the incorporation and pointed out that the process could take nine months or longer.

With the help of the third long-haul aircraft, Air Serbia intends to further expand its intercontinental service from the Serbian capital, Belgrade. Specific goals have not yet been mentioned, but in the past it has been repeatedly indicated that traffic between Serbia and China is to be further expanded. One or the other destination in the United States of America has also been envisaged. For example, according to Marek, it could be Miami. Alternatively, check out Toronto, Canada.

In May 2023, Air Serbia will begin non-stop service to Chicago. This will initially be served three times a week. The carrier wants to fly daily on the New York route in the future.
