Air traffic at Zurich Airport received a significant boost in April.

17.328 flight movements were registered last month. That is three times as many as in April 2021, as the Swiss travel portal About Travel reported. Nevertheless, the number of flight movements is still around a quarter below the pre-crisis values. In April 2019, the airport still had 22.705 movements. However, the trend over the past few months has been clearly upwards, with air traffic picking up significantly in the last two months and around Easter. In the comparative period of 2020, air traffic almost came to a standstill with around 1550 flight movements due to the first corona wave.
