The Canadian airline Air Transat will initially only use the aircraft types Airbus A2021 and A321LR in the current summer flight schedule period 321. The widebodies are not supposed to fly regularly for the time being.

According to the Simple Flying portal, the range of flights is limited to only 19 percent of the capacity that was flown in the same period in 2019. The flight plans for a total of 1.102 round trips, which are to be flown by October 30, 2021, were transmitted.

Air Transat's fleet currently consists of seven A321s, ten A321LRs, 14 A330-200s, and one A330-300. Initially, the company only wants to use the narrowbodies for passenger flights. The announced takeover of the carrier by competitor Air Canada failed due to considerable concerns from the EU Commission. Therefore Air Transat wants to continue standalone.
