Airbus has found a new buyer for the six finished A320neo aircraft that were ultimately not taken over by the actual buyer, Air Asia. Another airline reportedly struck an auction.

The Malaysian low-cost airline Air Asia was supposed to take delivery of six A320neo family aircraft at the beginning of this year. But then Corona came. And forced the company to be more thrifty. The airline pulled out all the stops to cut costs. So one stopped planned investments and reduced the fleet, like the aviation portal Swiss Aviation reported. In the greatest crisis in aviation history, airlines are only doing what is necessary to get through this pandemic as lightly as possible. Air Asia is one of the largest customers of the European aircraft manufacturer with outstanding orders for over 28 aircraft. But whether these will ever be delivered as planned remains more than questionable.
