Airbus: target for the year still a long way off

Advertising

For Airbus, the planned delivery target this year is becoming more and more of a challenge.

According to data from the aviation analytics company Cirium, the aircraft manufacturer handed over only about 55 machines to customers in November, the analysis website AIB Family Flights spoke of 58 machines. This would mean that the manufacturer would still be around 150 aircraft short of its annual target of 700 deliveries, after Airbus had handed over almost 500 jets by the end of October. The dates are not official and are subject to change. Evidence that the target was wobbling had been around for some time, though. Deliveries usually pick up towards the end of the year, but Airbus now only has a few weeks left. The group will publish its monthly delivery figures in the coming days.
