The European aircraft manufacturer has 40 deliveries in September. The same number of machines were handed over to customers in August.

After the first nine months of the year, deliveries add up to 424 commercial aircraft, as reported by the aviation portal Aero. There are still 176 aircraft missing that the group still has to sell in the fourth quarter in order to achieve the goal of 600 aircraft set by Airbus boss Guillaume Faury. Meanwhile, Airbus brought in a new order for a machine and got away with it without any cancellations.

The manufacturer usually makes a final spurt in December in order to achieve its annual target for deliveries. In addition, Airbus has been ramping up production of its medium-haul jets from the A320 model family since the summer, after significantly reducing it in 2020 due to the Corona crisis.
