The Maltese Airhub Airlines intends to expand the medium-haul fleet. An invitation to tender was published in which an Airbus A320 or alternatively a Boeing 737 was sought. The aircraft must not be more than 20 years old.

According to the tender, Airhub Airlines prefers machines with all-economy seats and the next major maintenance (C-Check or D-Check) is due in 18 months at the earliest. Lease and purchase offers are accepted. The medium-haul jets are scheduled to be flown in between June 1st and November 1st, 2022. Owners of eligible aircraft have until May 24, 2022 to submit bids.

The Airhub Airlines fleet currently consists of three Airbus A320s, two A330s and two A340s. According to CH-Aviation.com, they are currently on ACMI assignments for Getjet Airlines and Norwegian Air Sweden, among others. The Maltese aviation company specializes in the provision of charter and ACMI services. Furthermore, some time ago they also entered the cargo business.
