The airline ITA Airways wants to use the Airbus A2022 aircraft type in summer 350. These are leasing aircraft that the carrier was able to secure a few weeks ago.
Kuwait-based Alafco said it has been able to accommodate four Airbus A350-900s at ITA Airways. According to the lessor, the long-haul jets are scheduled to be handed over to the Italian airline in quarters two and three.
ITA Airways secured a total of twelve aircraft of this type via Lessoren in autumn 2022. Ten A330-900s have also been ordered directly from Airbus. These long-haul aircraft will gradually replace the aircraft acquired from Alitalia.
