The airline Alaska Airlines has given a Boeing 737-800 a special livery because the machine was painted entirely by hand. It is dedicated to motifs from the Disney world.

According to official information, the artists are said to have needed over 400 hours to hand-paint the medium-haul jet from nose to tail. The result is impressive because it is definitely an eye-catcher.

In recent years, Disney and Alaska Airlines have presented special liveries together seven times. As a result, well-known figures can be seen on the US airline's route network.

“It is encouraging how much our Disneyland Resort-themed aircraft bring joy to our guests, young and young at heart. What makes this even more special is the return of Mickey Mouse on an Alaska Airlines aircraft since he debuted in our fleet eight years ago,” said Sangita Woerner, Alaska’s senior vice president of marketing and guest experience. “Alaska's long-standing relationship with Disneyland Resort has helped create unforgettable experiences for our guests and employees. As a family-friendly airline, this speaks to the care we want to show with these special things every day.”

The aircraft's livery is inspired by Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland Park and will be featured on the Boeing 737-800 for several years before it reaches the end of its normal cycle. “Our relationship with Alaska Airlines goes back more than 25 years and celebrates the magic of Disney. The aircraft's artwork marks Alaska Airlines' eighth aircraft redesign with Disney artwork and showcases the excitement and playfulness of the reimagined Mickey's Toontown. We are excited about the opportunity to work together to create even more memorable experiences for our guests,” said Sybil Crum, Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Strategy at Disneyland Resort.
