A curious incident occurred in the US state of Alaska: A Boeing 737-700 operated by Alaska Airlines hit and killed a female brown bear shortly after landing.
The runway was cleared by employees at Yakutat Airport just a few minutes before the aircraft landed. Then a bear and her cub would have sneaked onto the runway unnoticed, like the aviation portal Aero reported. Nothing happened to the people on board, they got away with a shock. Only the aircraft was damaged and could not continue to fly at first. The repair may take several days.
