The European aircraft manufacturer Airbus landed another major order at the Dubai Air Show. Air Lease Corporation signed a letter of intent to acquire 111 aircraft.

There are 25 A220-300, 55 A321neo, 20 321XLR, four A330neo and seven A350F. In the next few months, the LoI is to be converted into a firm order. ALC currently has 496 open orders with Airbus.

On Sunday, Airbus was able to sell a total of 255 aircraft from the A321neo series to Indigo Partners. Of these, 27 will be A321XLR and 75 will be A321neo go to the low-cost airline Wizz Air. With the ALC-LoI, the European manufacturer is now facing the second large order that was communicated at the Dubai Air Show.

"This new order announcement is the culmination of many months of hard work and dedication by both organizations to optimize and refine the size and scope of this large aircraft transaction in light of the rapidly growing global airline demand for the ALC to modernize their jet fleets," said Steven F. Udvar-Hazy, Executive Chairman of Air Lease Corporation. “After long and detailed consultations with several dozen of our strategic airline customers around the world, we are concentrating this comprehensive order on the most coveted and sought-after aircraft types of the A220, A321neo, A330neo and A350 families. In each of these categories of the most modern Airbus product range, ALC is the international market leader. This multi-year expansion of ALC's growing portfolio with new technology aircraft will enable us to increase our sales and profitability while meeting the needs of our airline customers. "
