In today's closed meeting, the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH appointed the commercial director Aletta von Massenbach as chairman of the management board of FBB with effect from October 1, 2021. She follows Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, who is leaving the company at the end of September.

“The Supervisory Board did not take its decision lightly. We made the right choice from the point of view of selecting the best. With her broad horizon of experience in the airport industry, Ms. von Massenbach guarantees stability and future orientation at the same time. It is the right choice to lead BER out of the crisis into the future, ”said Rainer Bretschneider, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.

The Supervisory Board is convinced that Ms. von Massenbach was able to set important accents in the central area of ​​finance in her short time. She is trusted to tackle the pending questions of the strategic realignment of the airport company aggressively and to improve the positioning of BER in the German and European aviation market.
