The Irish low-coster has announced a ban on alcohol on certain routes to Spain.

An email from the airline is currently making the rounds. In it, passengers are made aware of certain restrictions for the upcoming flight: "In order to ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers on board, customers are not allowed to take alcohol on board." The passengers' hand luggage would even be searched for this at the terminal.

In the case of a priority booking, the bottles bought could be handed in free of charge. You stay in the aircraft's hold during the entire flight. Any fees, for example if priority was not booked, must be expected. The background is ugly incidents of intoxicated flight passengers, especially on flights to Barcelona and Mallorca, which are also directly affected by the amended directive, as reported by dublinlive.ie.
