The German tour operator Alltours expects that after a strong summer in 2022, there will also be high demand in 2023. The number of bookings should already be above the level of the current season.

Alltours looks back on a successful 2021/22 financial year. While the winter of 2021/22 was still characterized by numerous corona travel restrictions, the company was able to record a very strong number of bookings from February 2022. "Our customers were looking forward to their summer vacation, booked higher quality offers, luxurious trips and treated themselves to additional extras," says Willi Verhuven. The volume of travel during the summer holidays from June to September 2022 reached a record level. A trend that also continues in the autumn holidays until October at the end of the financial year.

However, the high price increases have not left Alltours untouched either. Since around September 2022, the tour operator has had significantly more bookings for cheap trips than in the premium segment. Compared to the pre-crisis year 2018/19, alltours increased its turnover by 20 percent and recorded a one percent increase in guests. The result is well above the industry average.

"In a market environment with strong fluctuations, Alltours was able to further expand its market position despite all the adversities. We are expecting another long travel season next year,” explains Verhuven. The main travel season begins with the summer holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia on June 22nd, 2023 and ends with the Bavarian summer holidays on September 11th, 2023. The trend of using the autumn holidays in October for an additional trip at short notice is unbroken.

“Alltours is prepared. We have further expanded our package travel offer to around 40 countries worldwide and secured additional flight contingents. We continue to offer you the option of canceling or rebooking booked vacation trips free of charge up to 14 days before departure without any extra charge. This allows you to plan your holiday trip for the long term and without financial risk and at the same time benefit from our attractive early booking discount of up to 35 percent,” explains Verhuven.
