The German tour operator Alltours demands that in future the European governments should no longer use incidences as the sole indicator for the current state of affairs regarding the corona pandemic. Owner Willi Verhuven also demands a return to normal.

"The travel industry and its customers need planning security and stability again," said the Alltours owner. Furthermore, the manager points out that "incidences as a decisive decision criterion for the classification of a country as a high-risk or high-risk area are outdated". The increasing vaccination rate, the number of people recovered and the hygiene measures taken are at least as important. "If you apply these criteria, then vacation trips to high-risk areas will be safer in 2021 than last year," says Verhuven.

In future, Alltours only wants fully vaccinated people to check into the Group's hotels. We are currently in a transitional phase in which tests with proof can also use the houses. You no longer want that in the future and then it simply means: Without a vaccination certificate with Covid vaccinations, no check-in at Alltours.

No free cancellation for travel warnings

Willi Verhuven does not believe in the fact that travel warnings for so-called “high-risk areas” continue to be issued. Turkey, for example, landed last on this list, but this does not prevent the Alltours owner from continuing to sell package tours in such areas. A free cancellation outside of the “Flexible booking” campaign is no longer possible with Alltours. The booking campaign is extremely accommodating: new Alltours Klassik bookings for summer 21 (departure by October 31.10.2021, XNUMX) can be rebooked or canceled free of charge up to seven days before departure. After that, the usual cancellation rules apply (more on this at www.alltours.de). “The travelers have their own responsibility and take it seriously. They find out about the corona development in the holiday countries and prepare for possible risk classifications in good time, ”says Verhuven.

The tour operator's media release can also be interpreted between the lines to the effect that Alltours takes the view that the German government has issued travel warnings in such an inflationary manner that the deterrent effect has been lost. In some cases, the reasons are difficult or difficult to understand.
