The German tour operator Alltours is now keeping the travel agencies open again during normal business hours. At the same time, there is a high demand for the summer of 2021, the company announced.

"After such a long time, we are happy to finally be able to provide our customers with personal advice and assistance again," said Nils Jenssen, Managing Director of Alltours Reisecenter GmbH. Now that more and more people are being vaccinated and more and more travel warnings are being issued, the demand for Alltours is increasing significantly for the summer. The low incidences in the popular Spanish travel destinations Mallorca and Canary Islands have contributed to this.

Mallorca is the most sought-after travel destination for Alltours. Many hotels there have reopened and more are being added almost every day. On the Balearic Island, the incidence in May is below 30, so a relaxing holiday is possible there. For the Canary Islands, the federal government lifted the travel warning on Sunday as the 7-day incidence is stable below 50.

Greece opened the season last Friday. Here the 7-day incidence is still over 100. However, the development has been positive for four weeks and gives hope for a successful summer season. “For many people, vacation this year is a real need to recover from the stress of the pandemic and lockdown. With its authentic tourism, hospitality, many islands and cultural highlights, Greece offers an offer that fits in with the times, ”said the Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis for his country.
