AAL AG, based at Altenrhein Airport, has been in the hands of the German Atlas Air Service AG since the turn of the year 2021/22. This took over 100 percent of the share capital of the company formerly known as Altenrhein Aviation.
“In association with Atlas Air Service, we can support our customers even better, for example through a joint AOG service and better availability of spare parts in the group of companies. Atlas can also support us with digitization and marketing, ”explains AAL boss Natascha Rode. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
The Swiss company employs around 50 people and has an annual turnover of 12 million Swiss francs. They specialize in the maintenance of business jets. AAL AG is an authorized service center for aircraft made by Embraer Executive Jets, Gulfstream Aerospace (G150, G200, G280) and the TBM aircraft family; business jets from the manufacturers Cessna and Pilatus are also looked after.
“The employees and management of AAL AG have achieved a pleasingly positive development over the past few years. We will support future growth and secure it with our experience - as Atlas Air Service has already proven with Augsburg Air Service. The ambitious management in Altenrhein remains fully responsible for running AAL AG. "Gregor Bremer, board member of Atlas Air Service AG, adds:" Aircraft maintenance requires knowledge and experience - the more, the better. That is why our shipyard customers in Augsburg and Bremen also benefit from the cooperation with Altenrhein ”, says Nicolas von Mende, CEO of Atlas Air Service AG.
