The Slovenian airline Amelia International wants to get involved in the US charter business in the future. Appropriate approval has been requested from the US DoT for this purpose. The carrier intends to operate a 66-seat A319e between Ljubljana and unspecified destinations in the United States.

Amelia has previously operated ATR turboprops and Embraer ERJ145s. Only recently the first Airbus A319 was carried out. One wants to further expand the mainstay of VIP charter flights. A second Airbus A319 is to be added to the fleet shortly. Although they also want to grow in the ACMI market, they are increasingly focusing on charter orders. The airline also plans to add an A320 to its fleet.
