The new Omikron variant brings new challenges for the airlines. Nevertheless, the US airline manages to push its loss down significantly.
In the three months to the end of December, the bottom line was 931 million dollars (equivalent to almost 821 million euros), as reported by the aviation portal Aero. Sales increased in the final quarter compared to the same period last year by more than 130 percent to 9,4 billion dollars. The numbers turned out better than expected. A year ago, strains from the pandemic put the company in the red at $2,2 billion. In the first Corona year 2020, the minus was 8,9 billion dollars.
