Apparently, Royal Jordanian is fed up with the chaos at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The carrier will operate some flights from Maastricht in July 2022. From this airport one is already active, but in the cargo business.

The largest airport in the Netherlands, Schiphol, has not been out of the headlines for several weeks. It is probably the "chaos hotspot" of Europe, because the lack of staff here is so blatant that enormously long queues are now commonplace. As a result, the capacity even had to be limited in the summer months.

Royal Jordanian is the first major carrier to respond and will initially be heading to Maastricht instead of Schiphol on July 13, 20 and 27, 2022. According to the airline, affected passengers will be informed and, if necessary, taken to/from Maastricht by bus.
