The Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) has had a new General Manager for Germany since April of this year. Haruo Konishi now heads the Frankfurt office of Japan's largest airline. The 54-year-old manager has been with ANA for over 23 years.
Konishi's previous focus within the company was primarily on commercial areas, including loyalty marketing, network planning, and joint venture management. In his new position in Frankfurt, Konishi will assume responsibility not only for the German market but also for other important markets in Central Europe, including Poland and the Czech Republic.
ANA, Japan's largest airline and a member of Star Alliance, operates direct flights to Japan from Germany to Frankfurt and Munich airports. Konishi's appointment underscores the importance of the German and Central European markets to the airline's growth strategy. Konishi himself expressed his positive attitude toward his new role, emphasizing the importance of high service quality, strong teams, and sustained customer engagement for ANA.
